G R Infraprojects Ltd. (GR Infra) has completed the acquisition of Rajgarh Neemuch Power Transmission Ltd. (RNPTL) from REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd. (RECPDCL), making RNPTL a wholly owned subsidiary.
The deal, valued at INR 18.88 crore, was executed through cash consideration on September 29, 2025. GR Infra acquired all 50,000 equity shares of RNPTL, along with six nominee shareholders.
RNPTL, incorporated on June 17, 2025, operates in the power transmission sector. The newly formed company holds strategic importance for GR Infra’s upcoming projects in Madhya Pradesh. The acquisition supports GR Infra’s successful bid for the transmission system to evacuate power from renewable energy projects in Rajgarh (1500 MW) SEZ, Phase III, and Neemuch (1000 MW) SEZ, Phase II. Under the project’s RFP requirements, acquiring RNPTL from RECPDCL, the bid process coordinator, was mandatory to execute the project.
With this strategic move, GR Infra aims to strengthen its presence in the power transmission and distribution sector, supporting India’s growing renewable energy infrastructure.
