Government of India achieves 99.42 per cent of Power Generation target
Records an increase of 5.42 per cent in Power Generation

The Government of India has achieved 99.42 per cent of Power Generation target for the period April-December 2013. As against the Power Generation target of 725.68 Billion Units (BU), 721.47 BU have been achieved for the period April-December 2013.
There is an increase of 5.42 per cent in Power Generation till date in the current year as compared to an increase of 4.01 per cent during the last year. In 2012-13, 98.0 per cent of Power Generation target was met i.e., actual Power Generation of 912.06 BU as compared to target of 930.0 BU. Power Generation growth rate was 8.11 per cent in 2011-12 & 5.56 per cent in 2010-11.
