GMIDC Invites EOI for 85 MW Floating Solar Plus BESS Project in Maharashtra
Godavari Marathwada Irrigation Development Corporation has invited EOIs to develop an 85 MW floating solar PV plus BESS project at Mukane Reservoir in Nashik under the PPP model. Bid submission ends on September 28, 2026.

Godavari Marathwada Irrigation Development Corporation (GMIDC) has invited expressions of interest (EOI) for the development, operation, maintenance and management of an 85 MW floating solar PV plus battery energy storage system (FSPV BESS) project on the reservoir surface of Mukane Reservoir in Nashik on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
The scope includes the design, installation, commissioning, and O&M of a co-located FSPV + BESS system at Mukane Reservoir (Dist. Nashik) and other compatible technologies – subject to feasibility assessments and statutory approvals.
The concessionaire shall be responsible for mobilising technical expertise, adopting innovative engineering solutions suited for reservoir-based floating systems, ensuring robust financial structuring, deploying sustainable construction practices, and maintaining high-performing O&M standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Bidders need to pay INR 11,800 as a tender document fee and another INR 500 as a processing fee.
The last date for submission of bids is September 28, 2026. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on September 29, 2026.
The applicant or consortium must have, collectively, developed at least 43 MW of floating solar along with 22 MW of BESS, or equivalent solar infrastructure/PPP projects, within the five years preceding the EOI submission date. In addition, the applicant or consortium must have operated and maintained at least 43 MW of renewable energy projects for a minimum of two years.
To be financially eligible, the bidder must have an average annual turnover of at least INR 167 crore during the last five financial years. Additionally, the bidder must have a positive net worth.
