Global Awareness of Energy Consumption Is Altering : PM Modi

The Prime Minister also thought that signs of convergence between cheaper renewable energy, technologies and digital applications were also becoming obvious

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the Petrotech Expo suuposed that, internationally the awareness of energy consumption and supply is altering and nations are coming together to deal with climate change.

“Winds of change are apparent in the global energy field. There is a change in energy consumption from West to East,” Modi whispered.

“Energy supply, energy sources, and energy consumption patterns are shifting. Perhaps, this could be a historic conversion,” he further.

The Prime Minister also thought that signs of convergence between cheaper renewable energy, technologies and digital applications were also becoming obvious. “This may accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Nations are coming together to deal with climate change,” he affirmed.

Talking about energy justice in India which has been given top precedence by the government, Modi acknowledged that many policies have been developed and implemented.

“We need to move to accountable pricing, which balances the interests of both the producer and consumer. We also need to move towards translucent and flexible markets for both oil and gas,” the PM further.
