GH2 Solar has announced that the company has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 50 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project integrated with a 25 MW/100 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
“This milestone strengthens our integrated clean energy portfolio, bringing together solar power and battery storage to support a more reliable and sustainable energy future,” stated GH2 Solar.
The company secured the capacity at a tariff of INR 2.87/kWh in SECI’s auction for setting up 2,000 MW ISTS-connected Solar PV projects with 1,000 MW/4,000 MWh Energy Storage Systems (ESS) (Tranche-XX), held in October 2025.
The tender was floated in June 2025.
As per the terms of the RfS, selected bidders must develop a transmission network up to the interconnection point at 220 kV or above, including land identification, project installation, ownership, and securing all necessary connectivity and approvals with the ISTS network.
Each project must include an energy storage system with a minimum capacity of 0.5 MW/2 MWh for every 1 MW of installed capacity, either owned by the developer or arranged through a third-party provider. The system must maintain a minimum capacity utilisation factor (CUF) between 19 percent and 30 percent.
Only solar cells and modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) should be used in the project.
