Gensol Engineering Acquires Gridstor Energy

Solar EPC major Gensol Engineering Ltd. has acquired the newly incorporated Gridsor Energy through the subscription of equity shares.

“The company has subscribed 9,999 equity shares which is 99.99 percent of the total share capital of the company by investing INR 99,990 in Gridstor Energy Pvt. Ltd. (‘The target company’) having CIN: U35105GJ2024PTC154856. By virtue of this transaction, the target company will become the wholly-owned subsidiary company of Gensol Engineering Ltd.,” informed Gensol Engineering in a regulatory filing.

According to the company, it wants to carry out the business of generation, development, accumulation, production, manufacturing, processing and distribution of any kind of power or electrical energy using wind energy, solar energy, renewable energy, battery storage etc., through its wholly-owned subsidiary company.

Established in 2012, Gensol Engineering Ltd. specialises in solar power EPC services and electric mobility solutions. The company claims to have successfully executed over 770 MW of diverse solar projects, encompassing rooftop, ground mount, and floating solar installations across almost all states of India.

In September 2023, Gensol acquired Scorpius Trackers, an innovative single-axis solar tracking solution provider, to enhance its offerings in the renewable energy sector. The company is also advancing the future of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in India by providing cutting-edge storage solutions paired with sophisticated energy management systems.

Gensol is also involved in developing Green Hydrogen Production infrastructure on a turnkey basis through EPC or Build Own Operate (BOO) model and setting up the Electrolyser manufacturing plant.
