Galaxy Solar Signs INR 10,080 Cr MoU with Maharashtra Govt for Solar Cell and BESS Manufacturing

Galaxy Solar has signed an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra to invest INR 10,080 crore in manufacturing solar cells and battery energy storage systems, in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Galaxy Solar has announced that the company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra, committing an investment of INR 10,080 crore for manufacturing solar cells and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
 
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari presided over the MoU signing between the Government of Maharashtra and Galaxy Solar.
 
“With an investment of over INR 10,000 crore in manufacturing solar cells and battery storage systems, this initiative will generate large-scale employment and advance the solar cell manufacturing and power ecosystem,” said Fadnavis.
 
This strategic initiative marks a significant step toward strengthening Maharashtra’s position as a leading hub for renewable energy while creating new opportunities for employment, innovation, and sustainable industrial growth, particularly in the Vidarbha region, stated the company.
 
“Galaxy Solar’s participation reflects our continued commitment to advancing India’s clean energy mission by supporting large-scale solar infrastructure and contributing to a greener, more energy-secure future,” it said.
