GAIL Gas, GAIL India, Reliance Industries Sign Tripartite Pact Under CBG-CGD Synchronisation Scheme
GAIL Gas, GAIL (India), and Reliance Industries have signed a tripartite pact at India Energy Week 2026 in Goa to supply compressed biogas to Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and Raisen in Madhya Pradesh, under the CBG-CGD Synchronisation Scheme.

GAIL Gas Ltd., GAIL (India) Ltd., and Reliance Industries Ltd. have signed a Tripartite Agreement under the CBG-CGD Synchronisation Scheme on the sidelines of India Energy Week 2026, in Goa.
Under the agreement, Compressed Bio Gas will be supplied to the Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and Raisen, in Madhya Pradesh, geographical areas of GAIL Gas, enabling integration of CBG into the city gas distribution network.
The agreement was signed in the presence of GAIL Gas CEO Goutom Chakraborty, COO Sudhir Kumar Dixit, and CFO Amit Jhalani.
The partnership aims to strengthen the CBG ecosystem and promote the use of renewable fuels in the natural gas value chain, supporting India’s clean energy and low-carbon transition goals.
“The agreement reaffirms the commitment of the participating organisations towards promoting cleaner energy solutions and supporting India’s transition to a sustainable and low-carbon energy future,” stated GAIL Gas.
