GAIL (India) Ltd. has floated a tender for hiring a Project Management Consultant (PMC) for setting up a 100 MW ground-mounted solar project with 22 MWh of BESS in Maharashtra.
The energy generated from the project shall be primarily utilised by GAIL for internal consumption at its plants. Power evacuation shall be through a 132/220 kV transmission line to the MSETCL substation.
The project will be executed on an EPC basis, with the PMC acting as an extension of GAIL and safeguarding the owner’s interests. The PMC will advise and guide GAIL on key matters and ensure that the project is completed within the approved cost and schedule while meeting the required quality, safety and performance standards.
The scope of work for the PMC includes reviewing engineering drawings, designs, datasheets, layouts and quality assurance plans; carrying out quality inspections; monitoring and expediting equipment and material supplies; and supervising installation, testing and commissioning at the project site. The PMC will also oversee guarantee liabilities, contractual obligations and submission of final project documentation to GAIL, while coordinating all activities to ensure smooth and timely project completion.
The last date for submission of bids is September 30, 2026. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on October 1, 2026.
The bidder must have successfully provided Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Owner’s Engineering or similar services for the development of solar PV projects during the last seven years, as of the bid submission deadline. The bidder must meet one of the following eligibility criteria: experience in one similar contract for a solar PV project of at least 80 MW (AC); two similar contracts of at least 50 MW (AC) each; or three similar contracts of at least 40 MW (AC) each.
The average annual turnover of the bidder during the three immediately preceding financial years must be at least INR 44 lakh.
