In a virtual summit that convened leaders from the world's largest economies, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude and presented a comprehensive overview of India's accomplishments during its G20 presidency over the past year.

The Prime Minister's address, spanning various crucial topics, underscored the principles of inclusivity, cooperation, and tackling emerging challenges.

One notable highlight was the mention of India's successful Aspirational District program, a local-level initiative making significant strides towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Prime Minister Modi extended an invitation to G20 nations, particularly those from the Global South, to study and replicate the program's success.

In a move towards digital inclusivity, PM Modi announced the establishment of a repository for Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), aiming to enhance accessibility and connectivity.

Additionally, he proposed the creation of a Social Impact Fund, with India committing an initial contribution of USD 25 million.

Environmental conservation emerged as a key theme during the summit, with discussions revolving around the Green Credit concept and initiatives like the Global Biofuels Alliance and Mission LiFE.

Recognizing the critical importance of clean hydrogen and the need for increased climate finance, the G20 committed to concrete steps expected to be taken during COP-28 in the UAE.
