Fujiyama Power Systems to Add 1 GWh Lithium, 1 GWh Tubular Battery Capacity
Fujiyama Power Systems has approved a 1 GWh lithium battery capacity addition at Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, in addition to the previously announced 2 GWh expansion, and a 1 GWh tubular battery facility at Hathras, Uttar Pradesh with commissioning targeted for Q2 FY27 and Q3 FY27, respectively.

Fujiyama Power Systems has announced that the company’s Board of Directors has approved a 1 GWh expansion of its lithium battery manufacturing capacity at its Ratlam plant in Madhya Pradesh and a new 1 GWh tubular battery manufacturing facility at Hathras in Uttar Pradesh.
The additional lithium battery capacity at Ratlam will be established in addition to the previously announced 2 GWh expansion at the same facility. The proposed 1 GWh addition is expected to be commissioned and commence commercial operations by the second quarter of FY27.
The estimated investment for the proposed incremental capacity addition of 1 GWh is approximately INR 5 crore, which will be funded through internal accruals, the company stated in a regulatory filing.
It further added that Fujiyama currently has 500 MWh of lithium battery manufacturing capacity at its Greater Noida facility. Upon completion of the earlier announced 2 GWh expansion and the proposed additional 1 GWh capacity, the company’s lithium battery manufacturing capacity is expected to reach approximately 3.5 GWh.
The proposed capacity addition is aimed at strengthening the company’s lithium battery manufacturing capabilities, enabling it to cater to the anticipated market demand and supporting its growth plans in the energy storage segment, the company reasoned.
Fujiyama Power Systems has also approved the establishment of a 1 GWh tubular battery manufacturing facility at Hathras. The facility is expected to commence commercial operations by the third quarter of FY27 and will involve an estimated investment of INR 20 crore, also to be funded through internal accruals.
The Hathras facility is a replacement for the erstwhile 1.3 GWh Tubular Battery capacity at the company’s Bawal facility, which was damaged in a fire incident that occurred on 06 May 2026, stated the company.
