Fourth Partner Energy Commissions Solar Projects in Telangana Under SECI’s Rooftop Scheme

Fourth Partner Energy has announced the commissioning of 8 solar projects with a capacity of 3116 kWp in the State of Telangana, as part of an initiative by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to increase renewable energy adoption across government offices, under its 1000 MWp Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar PV System Scheme.

The projects have been implemented across prestigious institutions like National Institute of Technology (NIT) - Warangal, Prof. Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) and select BSNL and CRPF offices

In Telangana, the scheme provides for government offices to switch to solar power at zero capital costs, and avail electricity at a flat rate of Rs 3.14/unit for 25 years; which will eventually result in average savings of 50-60% in their cost of power consumption.

The largest of these SECI projects is at NIT, Warangal with an operational capacity of 1000 kWp. In Hyderabad, PJTSAU’s installation has a capacity of 717 kWp.  Dr. Sudheer Kumar, Registrar, PJTSAU added, “Clean and green energy is what Telangana is moving towards and Fourth Partner helped us make the transition in a smooth, hassle-free manner. They provided all end-to-end services and assistance, offering high quality solar power generation.”

Vivek Subramanian, Co-Founder & ED, Fourth Partner Energy said, “We are proud to be associated with all these projects in our home State and endeavour to work towards Telangana achieving its solar energy targets. These projects will just not result in cost savings for the clients but also cut Carbon emissions by around 4500 tons annually, equivalent to planting over 2 lakh trees in India’s youngest state.”

Head-quartered in Hyderabad, Fourth Partner Energy has commissioned close to 40 projects in Telangana with an installed capacity of around 9000 KWp, including plants at Raj Bhavan, Salarjung Museum and Symbiosis University’s Hyderabad campus.

Under SECI’s 1000 MWp rooftop scheme, Fourth Partner has also executed projects worth 13 MW across 32 sites in states like Rajasthan, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Orissa. Solar plants were installed at JNU-Delhi, Nagpur Metro, Pune Municipal Corporation and NIFT’s Jodhpur campus amongst others.
