Former NASSCOM ChairmanSom Mittal joins Freyr Energy’s Advisory Board.

Freyr Energy, a full service solar provider today announced that Mr. Som Mittal will come on board as an Advisor. Founded in 2014, by Mr. Saurabh Marda and Ms. Radhika Choudary, Freyr Energy is a distributed solar company, with operations in 4 countries. Using its proprietary design and sales software, Freyr Energy has sold and installed over 900 systems and has established a 1,000+ network of channel partners.Mr. Mittal will advise Freyr Energy on its business strategy, global expansion and team building.

Mr. Som Mittal has served the Corporate sector for over three decades in various roles and senior capacities. Mr. Mittal has held leadership positions in HP, Wipro, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation, and in his most recent position as President of NASSCOM, he helped steer the industry which grewfrom $60 billion in 2008 to $108 billion in 2013. He is currently on the Board of Directors of several prominent companies such as Axis Bank, Vistara Airlines. He has successfully led policy advocacy initiatives in India, Washington DC, and Brussels among others. He was a member of the Prime Minister’s Committee on National e-Governance and was the Chairman of the Council which developed the IT vision for Indian Railways.
