FIMER has launched its PVS990 series of utility-scale central inverters and battery energy storage system (BESS) power conversion systems (PCS) at the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2026, being held at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida.
The newly launched PVS990-2000 is a 2 MW central inverter platform with power ratings ranging from 2,000 kVA to 8,000 kVA. It features a scalable architecture designed for multi-megawatt solar power plants, with a focus on operational efficiency and reduced installation time.
The PVS990 series features a DC input voltage of up to 1,500 V, grid compliance and grid-support capabilities, including power quality management and fault ride-through (FRT). It also incorporates DC- and AC-side protection, SCADA-compatible industrial data communication and a design that does not require a separate chiller installation.
Commenting on the launch, KN Sreevatsa, Group Co-CEO of FIMER, said, “PVS990 is the result of FIMER’s continued investment in R&D, shaped by the evolving needs and feedback of our customers across the global utility-scale market. We have brought together decades of power-electronics expertise, advanced engineering and real-world project insights to create a platform that is distinctive in its scalability, performance and grid-support capabilities. With the PVS990, we are redefining what customers can expect from utility-scale solar and storage systems.”
At REI Expo 2026, being held from October 22 to 24, FIMER is also showcasing its inverter portfolio for residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and utility-scale applications at Hall 16, Booth A90.
The portfolio includes PowerUNO single-phase hybrid inverters and PowerTRIO three-phase hybrid inverters for residential applications, the PVS-100/120-TL C&I inverter range under the Make in India initiative, the PVM-75/125-TL C&I solution for AC-coupled storage systems, and the PVM-415 utility-scale string inverter rated at 415 kW.
The company is also presenting solutions for retrofitting older solar plants, aimed at upgrading inverter systems and improving plant performance, reliability and operational efficiency while retaining existing infrastructure.
