AIIMS-Delhi, in its commitment to delivering swift patient care, has unveiled a 24/7 availability of electric staff cars within residential campuses.
The move aims to address concerns raised by clinical team members residing in areas like Ayur Vigyan Nagar, Kidwai Nagar, Asiad Village, and Ansari Nagar West.
Dr. M Srinivas, Director of AIIMS-Delhi, initiated the initiative following discussions with faculty and staff to better understand their requirements.
The consultations revealed that clinical team members in the mentioned areas often experienced significant delays when commuting to the main campus for critical patient care duties. This situation not only consumed valuable time but also placed additional mental stress on healthcare professionals.
The introduction of electric staff cars not only promotes eco-friendly transportation but also ensures that clinical teams can reach the hospital swiftly.
In a broader context, electric vehicles contribute to healthcare by reducing air pollution, improving the health of both patients and healthcare workers, and lowering time consumption for medical facilities. By integrating EVs into healthcare services, hospitals can make a significant difference in environmental sustainability and healthcare efficiency.
