Chennai-based Evolta Energy has announced that it has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract worth INR 85 crore for a ground-mounted solar power project in the Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu.
The project has been awarded by customers based in Coimbatore and Rajapalayam, who are prominent players in the textile, industrial, and utility sectors, the company stated.
Under the contract, Evolta Energy will undertake complete engineering and design, procurement of solar PV modules, inverters and balance-of-system components, civil and structural works, electrical installations including HT/LT systems, as well as testing, commissioning, and grid connectivity.
The company further added that the project is scheduled to be commissioned by the first half of 2026 and is expected to generate nearly 32 million units of clean energy annually. It is projected to offset around 25,000 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year, contributing significantly to sustainable industrial operations and climate action goals.
Commenting on the development, CEO Mohanprakash said, “We are proud to partner with our esteemed clients on this significant solar initiative. This order reinforces our position as a trusted EPC partner in the renewable energy sector and reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable energy solutions.”
Deputy CEO Sakthivel added, “This achievement reflects the trust our clients place in us and the consistent dedication, expertise, and teamwork demonstrated across our organisation. Winning this contract in an increasingly competitive market strengthens our position as a reliable and capable solar solutions provider.”
With this latest order, Evolta Energy’s total EPC portfolio now stands at 23 MW, it said.
