Mumbai-based EV solutions provider EVERTA has entered the electric vehicle charging market with the launch of its first line of Made-in-India DC fast chargers.

Backed by a new manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, the company plans to produce 3,000 chargers annually by 2027. With this expansion, EVERTA aims to meet the charging needs of over four million electric vehicles by the end of the decade while capturing 15 percent of India’s EV charging infrastructure market.

The chargers are being developed in collaboration with Singapore based electric vehicle charging infrastructure company, StarCharge, which has over two million deployments across 60 countries. This partnership brings proven technology to EVERTA’s product line while accelerating its path to indigenisation. The Bengaluru plant is expected to be operational by the third quarter of this year, launching with 50 percent domestic value addition and aiming for full localisation in the coming years, a rare move in India's EV ecosystem.

EVERTA’s product lineup will range from 60 kW chargers, suitable for passenger EVs and autorickshaws, to high-capacity 320 kW chargers designed for electric buses and trucks. This tiered offering is intended to serve the full spectrum of users, from urban commuters to heavy-duty fleet operators. Crucially, the company is positioning itself around reliability, promising a service-led model with high uptime and real-time support, key requirements for commercial-scale EV operations.

Benny Parihar, Managing Director, EVERTA, said, “Our entry into the EV charging sector is an important step to support India’s growing shift to electric mobility. We’re focused on building charging solutions that are not only reliable but also tailored to Indian conditions and customer needs. We see this as a contribution to India’s broader energy and mobility goals, aligned with Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat mission. Our aim is simple: to make EV charging easier, better, and more accessible for everyone.”

The new manufacturing facility is expected to create up to 450 jobs and further strengthen India’s push for green mobility. With national programs like FAME and Atmanirbhar Bharat supporting EV adoption, The firm's localisation strategy and high-power infrastructure capabilities could play a crucial role in addressing gaps in the country’s charging network, especially for commercial and fleet applications.

By merging global technology with a strong “Make in India” foundation, it is positioning itself as a pivotal player in powering India’s electric mobility transition.
