EV Startup Magenta Mobility Procures USD 22 Million From Bp and Morgan Stanley India Infra

Electric mobility solutions facilitator Magenta concluded a Series A1 financing round with USD 22 million equity investment from the UK-headquartered British Petroleum and Morgan Stanley India Infrastructure-managed investment fund.

With this progression, bp and Magenta Mobility will also further collaborate on electric fleet management software technology.

The company proposes to deploy the raised capital in fleet and geographical expansion besides investing a portion of the finances in technology.

Furthermore, bp’s joint venture with Reliance Jio-bp will be the only and exclusive EV charging alliance for Magenta Mobility’s fleet.

With around 100 million online shoppers and the government’s objective of electrification of e-commerce distributions and service and logistics by the year 2030, India is becoming and evolving as a market for bp’s global electrification business.

Reliance Jio-bp is a joint venture that consolidates international expertise with strengths in local attributes to meet rapid developing demands for energy and mobility of India.

Magenta Mobility started in the year 2017 and based in Gurugram,Haryana, India. Magenta's mobility segment is focused on assisting farms, industries, and businesses transition to electric vehicles in way to minimise their carbon emissions.
