Envision Energy Secures NTP for 179 MW Narrogin Wind Farm in Australia

Envision Energy has received a Notice to Proceed (NTP) from Neoen for the turbine supply and installation package of the 179 MW Narrogin Wind Farm in Western Australia.

Envision Energy has announced that the company has received a Notice to Proceed (NTP) from Neoen for the turbine supply and installation package of the latter's 179 MW Narrogin Wind Farm in Western Australia.

The project will deploy 23 Envision EN182-7.8 MW smart wind turbines featuring a 155-metre hub height and a 182-metre rotor diameter. Designed to maximise energy production while lowering the levelised cost of electricity, the turbines will help power nearly 100,000 Western Australian homes annually and contribute approximately 3 percent of the annual electricity demand of Western Australia's South West Interconnected System (SWIS), stated the company.

Neoen's Narrogin Wind Farm is Envision Energy's second active Australian wind project awarded within the past 12 months, following its entry into the Pilbara region with 17 EN-182/7.8MW wind turbines. It will also become Envision Energy's first grid-connected wind farm for a client in Australia, connecting to Western Power's existing 220kV transmission line into the South West Interconnected System (SWIS), stated the company.

It further added that Envision will supply, deliver, install and commission the wind turbines in partnership with UGL and CPB Contractors (members of the CIMIC Group). The company has also signed a 30-year Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Agreement with Neoen.
