Envision Energy India has announced a significant new order from Evren for the supply of approximately 152 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) based on its EN 156/3.3 MW turbine platform, totaling 501.6 MW. The turbines will be deployed at Evren’s upcoming wind energy projects in Andhra Pradesh.

Evren, backed by the Brookfield Global Transition Fund (BGTF),has a target to build over 10 GW of renewable assets across solar, wind, and battery storage in key states including Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.

The firm stated that its Smart Wind Turbines feature a 156-metre rotor diameter and a 140-metre hub height, an optimal configuration for Indian wind conditions. The 3.3 MW turbine platform has demonstrated robust performance in markets across MENA, Southeast Asia, and China, with over 2.5 GW already operational in India. Designed for higher Annual Energy Output (AEP) and lower Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE), the platform reinforces Envision’s position as a technology leader in wind solutions.

RPV Prasad, Managing Director of Envision Energy India, said, “It is a proud moment for us to partner with Evren on this 501.6 MW order for our Smart Wind Turbines. This is our first step to support Evren as they deploy industrial decarbonization solutions at scale, strengthening our resolve to be a trusted energy solutions partner.”

Suman Kumar, CEO of Evren, added, “Our partnership with Envision Energy India marks a significant step towards our goal of developing over 10 GW of large-scale renewable projects. It underscores our confidence in Envision’s proven capabilities and aligns with our mission to accelerate India’s clean energy transition.”

As per the firm, with over 16 GW in its order book and manufacturing facilities in Trichy and Pune, the company has already produced more than 4.5 GW of turbines and commissioned 2.5 GW of projects nationwide.

The company recently announced an additional INR 500 crore investment for expansion, including a second blade plant in Gujarat and a generator and gearbox facility in Maharashtra, further boosting domestic manufacturing and job creation in the clean energy sector.
