Enlog Targets 40,000-Ton CO₂ Cut in 2025 by Tackling Energy Waste

On World Environment Day, Enlog pledges a 10X jump in emissions cuts, spotlighting energy efficiency as India’s silent climate weapon beyond renewables, using AI to slash electricity waste.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Delhi-based energy intelligence startup Enlog has announced a bold target of reducing 40,000 tons of carbon emissions in 2025, a tenfold increase over its 2024 achievement.

Enlog specialises in AI-powered energy management systems that identify and eliminate electricity waste across commercial buildings. The startup’s systems currently operate in over 1,580 paying guest accommodations (PGs), 200 hotels, and an expanding footprint in offices, hospitals, campuses, and retail outlets.

Bharath Rnkawat, Founder and CEO of Enlog, said “India doesn’t need more electricity generation. It needs smarter use of the electricity it already has. The climate crisis is as much a demand problem as it is a supply one. While we applaud the growth in renewables, we also need solutions that tackle consumption itself. That’s where Enlog comes in we’re not asking people to change their behavior, or businesses to compromise on performance. We’re simply embedding intelligence into the systems they already use, to deliver savings without effort. It’s climate action, built into everyday life.”

According to the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, buildings in India account for nearly 40 percent of national electricity consumption, much of which is wasted due to inefficient or unmonitored operations. Enlog’s technology claims to reduce electricity usage by up to 23 percent, contributing to lower energy bills and significant emissions savings.

In 2024, Enlog-enabled buildings helped avoid over 4,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The company now aims to reach 40,000 tons in 2025 and cumulatively offset one million tons by 2027.

Backed by real-time data and 99.8percent system uptime, Enlog’s solution provides automated energy optimization, helping clients avoid penalties and meet Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.

With over 20,000 MWh of electricity already managed and a user base of over 23,000, Enlog positions itself as a vital player in India’s climate strategy. Its technology supports the country's broader goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2070 by not just addressing energy supply, but also the urgent challenge of energy demand.
