This project marks another strong step in ENGIE’s commitment to accelerating the energy transition and building a low-carbon, sustainable future for India. Announce fully commissioned, the project is expected to generate approximately 550 GWh of electricity annually and help avoid over 1,650 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.

We remain committed to driving large-scale, clean energy solution that supports India's sustainable growth journey.”

Engie India will operate the PV farm under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL), following a successful bid in an early 2024 tender. The company currently holds over 2.3 GW of solar and wind assets nationwide, including four projects totalling 830 MW in Gujarat, two of which are under development.
