Elan Energy Wins BPCL Assignment to Develop 5–10 TPD CBG Plants

Elan Energy has achieved a milestone in its journey towards advancing India’s Compressed Biogas (CBG) ecosystem by securing a consultancy assignment from Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) for the development of predominantly Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and paddy straw-based CBG plants.

The scope covers consultancy services for setting up CBG plants with a production capacity of 5–10 TPD across selected locations in Maharashtra and Haryana. The project represents an important step towards converting municipal waste and agricultural residue into a reliable source of renewable energy while supporting the broader objectives of sustainable waste management and circular economy development.

The tender was structured across four locations: Gadchiroli, Mira-Bhayandar and Kalyan Dombivli in Maharashtra, and Manesar in Haryana. The assignment involves consultancy and works-contract services associated with the development of these CBG projects.
