French firm, Eco Green Energy (EGE) has recently completed a groundbreaking project at its Global R&D and Production Center, signaling a significant advancement in sustainable manufacturing.
As per the firm, the installation of a 1.6 MW solar rooftop system, operational since July 1st, is poised to meet a substantial portion of the factory’s energy needs. Over its projected 25-year lifespan, the system is expected to generate approximately 1.8 million kWh annually, demonstrating EGE’s commitment to reducing environmental impact through renewable energy solutions.
It may be noted that the firm has been producing TopCon and PERC solar PV modules since 2008.
This initiative underscores EGE's proactive stance in environmental stewardship, reinforced by its attainment of both ISO 14001 and Certisolis certifications. ISO 14001 certifies EGE's adherence to international standards for effective environmental management systems, emphasizing resource efficiency and waste reduction. Meanwhile, Certisolis certification ensures that EGE's photovoltaic products meet stringent criteria for quality, performance, and environmental sustainability within the industry.
EGE’s strategic deployment of renewable energy not only aligns with global efforts to combat climate change but also positions the company as a leader in sustainable manufacturing practices. EGE sets a benchmark for the industry by leveraging solar power and adhering to rigorous environmental standards, This shows how innovative technologies can drive significant reductions in carbon footprints while enhancing operational efficiency.
Moreover, with this, it not only reinforces EGE’s commitment to sustainability but also highlights its role in shaping a greener future through responsible business practices and technological innovation.
