EESL Issues RfP Pursuing Partners for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Projects in UAE

The Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has announced that it has issued a Request for Proposal (RfP) for selection of strategic partners in the UAE to promote and implement energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions in both public and private sectors.

The objective of the RfP is that EESL aims to encourage and implement energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions in both the public and private sectors. Inorganic growth strategies like local implementation partners and JVs shall thus remain the foundation of its growth strategy. In that, an open process for the selection of prospective partners for execution/ implementation of large-scale projects and mobilisation of local funds is being carried out.

The RFP is for partnerships in two categories for five sectors:

  • Joint Venture partnerships – Long Term Strategic Partnership in the field of Energy Efficiency (Category A). In this category, the preference will be given to government companies or their venture companies
  • Empanelment of Companies for Energy Efficiency Projects in 05 sectors listed below. Empanelment will be based on the sector-specific based on the experience of the company in individual sectors. (Category B) In this, the primary objective is to engage with partners through a transparent process and ensure equal opportunities for all.

Projects under clean energy and energy efficiency will all be eligible under this RFP. The relevant sectors are Buildings, Industrial, Municipal, Utility & Renewable/Greenfield Energy Projects, etc. The EESL team will provide support for project financing, project monitoring, project support, deployment of technical experts, and sharing of technical support.

The last date for submission of valid proposals is February 11, 2020.
