Duke Energy Florida Includes 150 MWs of Renewable Energy to Power Grid

These projects will give around 1,500 MW of emission-free production utilising estimated as 5 million solar panels by the year 2024.

Duke Energy Florida includes 150 MWs of clean, renewable energy to the power grid and completes two new solar sites as part of company's community solar program.

Duke Energy declared the completion of two solar projects in Alachua and Suwannee counties, the recent regions in the company's community solar program operational profile, Clean Energy Connection.

Altogether, the sites at high production are supplying 150 megawatts of clean, renewable energy to the grid to the betterment of Florida consumers.

At high output, each site will produce sufficient carbon-free electricity to power equivalent to about 23,000 homes.

These projects will give around 1,500 MW of emission-free production utilising estimated as 5 million solar panels by the year 2024.

Under the Clean Energy Connection program, Duke Energy Florida consumers can subscribe to solar power and earn credits toward their electricity bills without having to establish or maintain their own equipment.
