DRIVN, an EV leasing platform focused on heavy commercial fleets, has signed an agreement with AVG Logistics, a listed logistics company, for the deployment of 100 electric trucks across India. The partnership marks a step towards scaling electric heavy-duty trucking and accelerating the adoption of electric freight solutions across the country.

Under the agreement, the first phase of 30 electric trucks is scheduled to be deployed in August 2026, with the remaining vehicles to be deployed in subsequent phases. The trucks will support AVG Logistics’ operations across diverse business requirements, with specific routes and corridors to be announced at a later stage.

The agreement also reflects the growing interest among established logistics operators in financing and leasing models that can support the transition to electric fleets at scale.

Alpna Jain, Co-founder and Chief Business Officer, DRIVN, said, "The next phase of electric freight will be defined not just by the availability of electric trucks, but by how effectively we can make them work for commercial fleets at scale. Our partnership with AVG Logistics is a strong example of this shift, bringing together an established logistics operator and a leasing-led model designed around the realities of commercial operations. By aligning the right vehicle, financing structure and use case, we are working to make electric trucking a practical and commercially viable choice for fleet operators across India.”

Vinayak Gupta, Chief Strategy Officer and ESG Head, AVG, said, “The transition towards electric commercial mobility is becoming an important part of the evolution of India’s logistics sector. Our agreement with DRIVN to deploy 100 electric trucks reflects our focus on adopting solutions that can support more efficient and sustainable freight operations at scale. By combining our operational experience with DRIVN’s expertise in EV financing and leasing, we aim to create a scalable pathway for integrating electric trucks into our fleet while maintaining the reliability and efficiency that our customers expect. This deployment marks an important step in our broader journey towards building a more sustainable logistics ecosystem.”
