Dr Farooq Abdullah meets the Basque business mission
The Basque president Patxi Lopez expressed the Basque interest to \"strengthen ties\" with India.

The third day of the Basque business mission in India was started with the opening of the Spain-India Tribune by the regional president Mr. Patxi Lopez. Mr Patxi Lopez is the president of an autonomous community called Euskadi or Basque Country in the northern part of Spain and one of the most industrialized regions in the country with a GDP per capita that exceeds 30,000 euros.
The Basque president has outlined the policy of internationalization, modernization and competitiveness that the region Euskadi and the Basque companies have been performing in recent years.
During the meeting with Dr Farooq Abdullah, minister of New and Renewable Energy, the regional president Patxi Lopez expressed that he wishes to extend the \"communication channels\" between Spain and India and underlined the firm commitment of Euskadi regarding renewable energy development and other emerging sectors . In addition, he recalled that the Basque Government supported by some important companies are promoting \"pioneer projects\", in the field of electric vehicles, smart grids, or the use of unconventional natural gas. \"
Finally, the regional president encouraged the attendees to visit Euskadi to learn what the Basque Country can offer.<br />
