DPSC earns the prestigious ISO 9001:2008 Certification

The entire task has been completed within a commendable time frame of 6 months.

DPSC Limited (formerly known as Dishergarh Power Supply Company Ltd), one of the oldest power utilities in India has received the ISO 9001:2008 certification for its Quality Management System from the world renowned Certification body British Standards Institution (BSI), headquartered in the UK.

 

The major success witnessed in the entire project was bringing objectivity in process performance criteria and active involvement from all across the company. The entire task has been completed within a commendable time frame of 6 months, after which DPSC received recognition from BSI.

 

Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Jyotirmay Bhaumik, CEO, DPSC Ltd, said, “Achieving the ISO 9001:2008 Certification reflects our deep commitment to quality management and encourages us in our sustained efforts for service efficiency and effectiveness. Much of its success should be attributed to our employees who have complied by the system.” 

 

Mr. A. Venkataram, Managing Director, BSI, added, “ISO certification, the internationally recognized standard for quality-management practices, helps strengthen the performance of any organisation. It helps improve customer experience through a systematic approach. After a rigorous process at DPSC, the company has been crowned as an ISO 9001:2008 certified organisation.”
