Cummins India Limited Appoints Ashwath Ram as India ABO Leader and Managing Director

Cummins India Limited has announced that Ashwath Ram has been appointed India ABO leader and Managing Director Cummins India Limited (CIL), effective August 17. His responsibilities will include leading all business units and functional groups in India including all manufacturing sites and legal entities.

Ram first joined Cummins in Columbus, Indiana, USA in 1991 and since that time he has led business unit operations as well as key strategic transformations for the Engine Business and Power Systems in India. Most recently, Ram served as Managing Director of Tata Cummins and EBU India General Manager, overseeing the Cummins joint venture and building relationships with large OEM partners, customers and suppliers. Ram implemented world class Six Sigma, VPI and Project Management improvements, and has driven supply chain excellence across global EBU joint ventures.
