Crompton Secures INR 445 Cr EPC Contract for 77.40 MWp Rooftop Solar Projects from NREDCAP
Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals wins 77.40 MWp rooftop solar EPC order worth INR 445.04 crore from NREDCAP for installing 2 kW rooftop solar projects under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna for 38,699 SC and ST consumers in Andhra Pradesh.

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (Crompton) has announced that the company has received a letter of award from New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) for 77.40 MWp rooftop solar EPC projects under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna.
The scope of work involves design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 2 kW grid-connected rooftop solar systems for 38,699 SC and ST consumers in five divisions of Andhra Pradesh – Kovur, Tirupati Rural, Puttur, Chittoor (O) and Chittoor (R) – through utility led aggregation (CAPEX) mode, the company stated in a regulatory filing.
The projects must be completed within approximately six months. Crompton must also offer five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance for the solar plants.
The total value of the order is approximately INR 445.04 crore.
Last month, Crompton announced a strategic foray into rooftop solar market with an INR 52 crore order in Telangana.
This comes as part of the company's larger plan to diversify its portfolio and grow its total addressable market from INR 1 lakh crore to INR 2 lakh crore, tapping into opportunities worth INR 40,000-INR 50,000 crore across solar pumps and rooftops.
