Cosmic PV Power Secures CTE Approval for 1.10 GW Solar Cell Plant in Madhya Pradesh
Cosmic PV Power has received the Consent to Establish (CTE) approval for its 1.10 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing facility in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh.

The manufacturing plant will be established on 60 acres of land leased for 99 years and will produce TOPCon solar cells. The ground-breaking ceremony for the plant was held in April 2026. Cosmic expects the facility to commence commercial operations during FY 2027-28, the company told Energetica India.
According to the company, the project is aimed at strengthening India's domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem by expanding indigenous solar cell production capacity. The facility is also expected to generate employment opportunities in the region.
The proposed plant forms part of Cosmic PV Power's strategy to support India's renewable energy ambitions and enhance self-reliance across the solar manufacturing value chain. By deploying TOPCon technology, the company aims to manufacture high-efficiency solar cells for the domestic market.
“This project aligns with Cosmic PV Power's goal to enhance India's renewable energy sector, supporting the nation's mission for energy independence and net-zero emissions. The company plans to use TOPCon technology for its solar cell production, making it a significant contributor to India's growing solar manufacturing ecosystem,” the company said.
The company earlier this year commissioned a 1.6 GW TOPCon G12 solar module production line, increasing its installed module manufacturing capacity to over 3 GW. The company has also secured ALMM approval for 3,150 MW of module capacity.
In April 2026, Cosmic PV Power filed a DRHP for an INR 640-crore initial public offering (IPO) to fund its solar module and cell manufacturing expansion.
