CMPDI Invites Bids for 25 MW Ground-Mounted Solar PV Project in Jharkhand

Central Mine Planning and Design Institute has issued a tender for a 25 MW (AC)/35 MWp (DC) solar PV project at Bharat Coking Coal’s Dugdha Coal Washery in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. Bid submission ends on April 29, 2026.

Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI) has floated a tender for setting up a 25 MW (AC)/35 MWp (DC) ground-mounted solar PV plant for Bharat Coking Coal at the Dugdha Coal Washery in Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
 
The scope of works includes design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the plant along with 10 years of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M). The project must be completed within 12 months.
 
Bidders must deposit INR 50 lakh as an earnest money deposit (EMD).
 
The last date for submission of bids is April 29, 2026. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on April 30, 2026.
 
The estimated cost put to tender is about INR 155.23 crore.
 
Preference will be accorded to Class I and Class II local suppliers, with Class I requiring a minimum 50 percent local content and Class II requiring 20–50 percent local content, stated the tender.
 
Additionally, solar modules must be sourced from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List I, while solar cells should comply with ALMM List II requirements.
 
Bidders are required to demonstrate prior experience by executing either three similar projects of at least 20 percent of the estimated project cost each, or two projects of at least 25 percent each, or one project valued at a minimum of 40 percent of the estimated cost.
 
The eligibility criteria further mandate an average annual turnover of at least 30 percent of the estimated tender value over the past three years, along with a minimum net worth of 10 percent of the project cost.
