Cleantech Solar Commissions 36 MWp Solar Projects in Tamil Nadu

Cleantech Solar, a renewable energy developer delivering Commercial and Industrial (C&I) renewable energy solutions across India and Southeast Asia, has announced the successful commissioning of 36 MWp of open access solar power projects for clients across automotive, industrial manufacturing and engineering sectors. The projects, located at Cleantech Solar’s 200 MWp renewable energy park in Thoothukudi district, Tamil Nadu, will supply clean, reliable energy on a captive basis to power the clients’ manufacturing requirements.

This latest commissioning builds on Cleantech Solar’s long-standing presence in Tamil Nadu. The projects have been executed well ahead of schedule, demonstrating the ability to provide safe, repeatable and reliable power solutions. With this addition, Cleantech Solar further strengthens its position as one of the leading solar developers in the state, backed by a growing portfolio of blue-chip C&I customers and a track record of successful project execution across multiple renewable energy parks in the region.

Power from the newly commissioned projects is being procured under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), enabling clients to access clean and cost-competitive whilst advancing their decarbonisation goals.
