Cleantech Solar Commenced 800 kWp Rooftop Solar PV Project for Shell LOBP in Indonesia

Cleantech Solar, a firm that provides renewable energy solutions to corporations in Southeast Asia and India, has commenced an 800 kWp rooftop solar PV project for Shell Lubricants Oil Blending Plant (Shell LOBP) in Marunda, Indonesia.

Cleantech Solar, a firm that provides renewable energy solutions to corporations in Southeast Asia and India, has commenced an 800 kWp rooftop solar PV project for Shell Lubricants Oil Blending Plant (Shell LOBP) in Marunda, Indonesia.

The set-up of solar PV on the rooftop of Shell LOBP in Marunda is anticipated to produce around 26 GWh of electricity (20%-35% of LOBP overall power consumption) to aid in minimizing CO2 emissions during project tenure.

By integrating solar power in their functions, Shell LOBP in Marunda will take advantage of a cleaner source of electricity to power their generating processes.

Cleantech Solar is a distributor across Asia of renewable energy to businesses. The company is based in Singapore, Cleantech Solar has number of solar power plants across India and Southeast Asia, spanning over 750 MW throughout the many phases of operations and building with many solar and wind projects under progression. This covers set-up of projects in India, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Ari Dian Bawono, Country LSC Director, stated, “At Shell LOBP, we continue to adopt a combination of measures to improve our energy efficiency. The installation of solar PV in our plant is also aligned with Shell’s Powering Progress strategy to accelerate the transition of our business to achieve net-zero emission by 2050 and at the same time, supporting Indonesia’s energy transition journey. We will continue exploring opportunities to reduce carbon footprint in our operation along with the business growth aspirations.”
