Cleanroom Announces New Solar-Powered Packaging Facility

California-based plastic bag supplier Cleanroom Film and Bags (CFB), a subsidiary of C-P Flexible Packaging, has expanded its manufacturing footprint with a new solar-powered and ISO-certified facility in Placentia, California. 

This expansion by the company enables it to match the increased demand for premium quality, certified cleanroom packaging for a rising customer base while being in line with CFB’s 100% American-made commitment.

The futuristic facility presents ISO-certified cleanrooms with environmental monitoring climate systems and a fully equipped laboratory. The company’s sterile packaging is manufactured within controlled cleanrooms, processed from raw materials to a finished, vacuum-sealed product without ever leaving the cleanroom environment. Ten extrusion blown film lines are integrated with the cleanrooms’ converting equipment. This unique process maintains a superior level of cleanliness.

The new facility also showcases CFB’s dedication to its sustainability goals. Having 440 solar panels installed, the plant is one of the largest solar deployments in Orange County, producing one-third of the cleanroom facility’s energy.

A grand opening celebration and a ribbon-cutting ceremony are planned to take place at the new facility soon. CFB’s customers, executives from CFB and C-P Flexible Packaging, regional elected officials, and media outlets will be in attendance.
