Citizen Solar Signs MoU with Jinchen for 2.4 GW TOPCon Module Project at SNEC PV Expo
The project aims to establish a cutting-edge TOPCon module production line in Kadi, Gujarat, positioning Citizen Solar at the forefront of next-generation solar technology manufacturing in India.

Citizen Solar Pvt. Ltd. has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jinchen Machinery for the supply of production equipment for a state-of-the-art 2.4 GW TOPCon solar module manufacturing facility. The signing took place at the SNEC PV Power Expo in Shanghai.
The project aims to establish a cutting-edge TOPCon module production line in Kadi, Gujarat, positioning Citizen Solar at the forefront of next-generation solar technology manufacturing in India. TOPCon modules are known for their high efficiency and performance, aligning with India's aim to become a global hub for advanced solar technologies.
The MoU was signed in the presence of key industry leaders including Harsh Jain, Founder, CEO & Director; T S Jain, Managing Director; and Ketan Modi, Plant Head, who represented Citizen Solar.
Speaking at the ceremony, the leaders emphasised that this collaboration with Jinchen, a global module manufacturing equipment provider, marks a significant milestone in Citizen Solar’s expansion roadmap. The 2.4 GW production capacity will cater to both domestic and international demand, strengthening India’s role in the global energy transition.
According to the company, this partnership is expected to drive technological advancement in module manufacturing and will create substantial employment opportunities in Gujarat’s renewable energy sector.
