Chargeup, an FI-NE-TECH platform (Finance-Network-Technology Platform) in the EV ecosystem, has declared the introduction of its countrywide campaign, #Sun2Swap, alongside the launch of solarised battery swapping station located in Jaipur.
The battery swapping station is situated at Beniwal Kanta, Chungi Circle, Ramgarh Mod, Jaipur.
The #Sun2Swap campaign intends to create long-term awareness all over the nation about the requirement to turn to renewable sources for powering EVs.
Varun Goenka, Co-Founder and CEO, Chargeup, stated, “Our team at Chargeup is thrilled to be the first in India to solarise a battery swapping station. My background in the solar sector has always inspired me to drive the EV ecosystem toward a 100% renewable model. By incorporating solar power into our infrastructure, we’re making strides in reducing our dependence on non-renewable energy sources and lowering the cost of providing a charged battery. This pioneering project in Jaipur is just the starting point, and we have plans to replicate this model in cities across the nation.”
In addition, the battery swapping station, owned and operated by Chargeup, is located at Beniwal Kanta, Chungi Circle, Ramgarh Mod, Jaipur.
Facilitated with advanced solar technology, the station harnesses the power of the sun to pair with the charging grid and efficiently charge batteries without depending upon conventional energy sources.
With an effective capacity of 140 kWh, the solarized battery swapping station includes 20 percent of the station’s overall power requirements.
The company perceives that the execution of solarisation ascertains 100 percent uptime during power cuts, obtaining a steady and reliable electricity supply.
The company further added that this initiative supports EVs' sustainability and augments driver convenience, income and accessibility to EV solutions.
