CG appoints K N Neelkant as Executive Vice-President & President of Industrial Business Unit

Avantha Group Company CG has appointed Mr. K.N. Neelkant as Executive Vice President and President of Industrial Business Unit.  Neelkant will also be a member of CG’s Executive Committee.  He will be taking over the reins of the Industrial business of CG from Mr. Anil Raina, who will be retiring from the company on March 31, 2015, after a successful career of over 37 years.

Neelkant brings with him twenty years of rich experience in Strategy Formulation and Deployment, Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing across sectors including infrastructure, power transmission and distribution and engineering.  He was associated with SIEMENS for close to ten years prior to joining CG in 2005, leading CG’s Industrial Motors business.  In addition to his role as the head of the Industrial business unit, he will also supervise CG’s EPD business in India and the company’s distribution franchise in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.

Neelkant is an electrical engineer from the University of Pune.  He has also completed multiple management programmes from institutes such as IIM-Bangalore and ASCI-Hyderabad.
