The Central Government has approved INR 531 crore in Central Financial Assistance (CFA) for 553 solar power providers in Rajasthan under Component-C of the PM-KUSUM scheme. The funding is aimed at boosting decentralised solar power generation and strengthening energy infrastructure for the agricultural sector across the state.

Out of the total assistance, INR 379.41 crore has been sanctioned for 432 solar power providers linked to Jodhpur Discom. These projects account for a combined solar generation capacity of around 429 MW. In addition, INR 151.21 crore has been approved for 121 solar power providers under Ajmer Discom, supporting approximately 169 MW of solar capacity.

The approved projects together represent nearly 598 MW of solar generation capacity. The financial assistance will be routed through the respective distribution companies and transferred directly to beneficiaries.

The move is expected to accelerate renewable energy deployment in Rajasthan, enhance decentralised power generation, and improve the reliability of electricity supply for the state's agricultural sector under the PM-KUSUM programme.
