The Celestial Earth and the Celestial Earth Development Council have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chandigarh Power Distribution Ltd. (CPDL) to collaborate on renewable energy integration, DISCOM load research, and building load profiling.

“This partnership will also advance solar rooftop (RT) capacity addition planning through our ML-powered geo-spatial building energy simulation platform,” said Anindya Bhattacharya, Executive Director, The Celestial Earth, in a social media post.

He further elaborated that under the partnership, Celestial Earth will deploy its machine learning-based geo-spatial building energy simulation platform to help CPDL assess rooftop solar potential at the building level, derive standard load profiles at both building and distribution transformer levels, and evaluate their impact on the distribution network.

The collaboration will also assist in identifying network capacity augmentation needs to ensure smooth integration of renewable energy and electric mobility.

“We look forward to an impactful collaboration with CPDL, leading to innovative, scalable, and replicable solutions that can support distribution utilities across the country in their clean energy transition,” stated Bhattacharya.
