The Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has announced that it has released a tender for the development of 50 MW grid-tied solar PV plants ranging from 500 kW to 10 MW at various locations in Maharashtra.
The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, installation and commissioning of the solar power plants. The selected developers will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plants for a period of 10 years from the date of commissioning.
The last date for bid submission is July 24, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 10 lakhs along with their bids as a bid security amount.
To be eligible, the bidders should have designed, supplied, tested, installed and commissioned cumulative 3 MW of solar power plants directly or indirectly for any government department, etc. from 2012 onwards which must include one power plant of 500 kW or higher capacity.
Moreover, the bidder must have a cumulative turnover of Rs 12 crore in the last three financial years. And the bidders who have already received the purchase order of more than 25 MW against this project of Maharashtra are not eligible to participate in this tender.
As per the tender, primarily, sites will be allotted to the bidder for the plant capacity as per the CEL preliminary survey. On the basis of the survey reports, drawings submitted by the bidder, CEL will revise the required plant capacity size and will also supply a minimum of 300 Wp rating solar modules for the project.
