CEL Issues Tender For Rooftop Solar Systems worth 11 MW at 35 CSIR Premises

The Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has announced that it has issued tender inviting bids for the execution of 11.12 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar PV projects at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) premises across India.

The rooftop project will be developed under the government’s Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) which now has a goal of 100,000 MW of grid solar power by 2022, and will be set up under the RESCO mode.

The concise range of work for selected bidders will include the site survey, design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar PV power system on CSIR buildings located in different states of India.  The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive Operation and Maintenance of the projects for a period of 25 years after commissioning the project.

The last date of bid submissions is February 21, 2019, and the technical bid opening is scheduled for the same date. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 12,00,000/per MW of bid capacity.

The tariff ceiling for the sites falling under general category states and union territories is Rs 7/kWh while for the sites falling under special category states and Its the limit is fixed at Rs 4.82/kWh.

To be entitled, a bidder should have commissioned at least one grid-connected solar PV power project of the capacity not less than 100 kW. And have an average annual turnover in the last three financial years not less than Rs 10 crore/MW.
