BSES to Facilitate Set Up of About 2300 EV Charging Points at Over 900 Locations in Delhi
The policy intends at having 25 percent of all new vehicle enrollments and registrations in Delhi to be EV by 2024.

The 2300 charging points established at more than 900 locations throughout south, east, central and west Delhi comprise 1,123 private ones, 745 public and 419 for BSES use.
BSES discoms BRPL and BYPL have provided the set up of about 2300 charging points in Delhi for electric vehicles (EVs) and are in the process to install of 900 more in the upcoming months.
The Delhi government’s EV policy intends to push the acquisition of electric vehicles in the city to minimise air pollution and for the betterment of public health. The policy facilitates a scope of incentives and subsidies to promote the purchase and utilise of EVs.
The policy intends at having 25 percent of all new vehicle enrollments and registrations in Delhi to be EV by 2024.
The BRPL and BYPL customers and users can receive a private EV charging point established through the Switch Delhi Portal at their residential homes, housing societies, multi-storey apartment buildings, RWAs offices, commercial shops.
BYPL is a consortium between Reliance Infrastructure Limited and Govt of NCT of Delhi with a 51 percent and 49 percent share holding. The entity begin its working on July 1, 2002. The entity's operations spread throughout its permit area of 200 sq km in the Eastern and Central parts of the National Capital.
BSES Rajdjani Power Limited (BRPL) distributes reliable power to an area span throughout 700 sq. kms with a consumer density of range of 3100 per sq km. in Delhi.
