BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd. (BRPL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JBM Ecofuel, JBM Group’s EV charging infrastructure and e-mobility solutions arm.
The MoU, signed by BRPL CEO Abhishek Ranjan and JBM Ecofuel CEO Manoj Gupta, establishes a strategic partnership that will integrate smart grid technology with electric vehicle (EV) charging to support sustainable public transport in Delhi.
“This strategic partnership will integrate smart grid technology with EV charging to power sustainable public transport. Together, BRPL and JBM will pilot a demand response program for e-bus depots—optimising charging schedules, reducing peak grid stress, and ensuring reliable e-bus services for Delhi,” mentioned BRPL in a post on X.
It further added that this collaboration is the first-of-its-kind in Delhi and has the potential to reshape the future of green mobility. By aligning EV charging with smart grid solutions, the partnership is expected to deliver smoother demand curves, cleaner air, and contribute to building a smarter, more sustainable city.
