Bondada Engineering Ltd. has secured a major allocation from the Government of Andhra Pradesh to develop a 2000 MW AC / 2600 MWp DC solar power project.

In its recent meeting, State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved this allocation. The solar capacity will be spread across multiple mandals in Ananthapuramu and Sri Sathya Sai districts, including Roddam, Kothacheruvu, Gooty, Peddavadugur, Vidapanakallu, Peddapappur, and Narpala.

As per the firm's statement, the INR 9,000 crore order will be executed through Bondada Renewable Energy Pvt. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bondada Engineering. With this order, the company’s total order book has risen to over INR 14,000 crore. The project is expected to create approximately 3,900 direct jobs in Andhra Pradesh.

The government order has been issued under Andhra Pradesh’s Integrated Clean Energy Policy – 2024, and the project is to be completed within 24 months. Bondada will benefit from incentives such as long-term land leases, non-agricultural status for project sites, and power evacuation support via APTRANSCO to CTU substations. The generated power will primarily be sold outside the state, with the Government of Andhra Pradesh holding first right of refusal for up to 30 percent of the capacity.

From FY2026 to FY2028, the company plans to roll out the project in phases, with 250 MW, 750 MW, and 1,000 MW implemented each year respectively. Starting FY2029, Bondada expects annual revenue of INR 1,160 crore from its Independent Power Producer (IPP) operations.

This allocation comes as part of a broader set of approvals from the SIPB, which greenlit projects worth INR 33,720 crore across various sectors, expected to generate over 34,600 jobs in the state.
