Bondada Engineering JV Secures INR 41 Crore Smart Metering Project in Telangana
Bondada Engineering, through its JV with BEST Infra, has received an LOI worth INR 41.01 crore from Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana for deployment of 40,000 smart energy meters in Telangana.

Bondada Engineering (BEL) has announced that the company, through its joint venture with BEST Infra, has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (TG NPDCL) for a smart energy metering project worth approximately INR 41.01 crore.
The project covers the procurement, supply, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of smart energy meters, along with operation and maintenance (O&M), PP Box maintenance and associated network operations and monitoring through cloud-based Head-End System (HES), Meter Data Acquisition System (MDAS) and Meter Data Management System (MDMS), the company stated in a regulatory filing.
Under the project, the JV will deploy 40,000 smart energy meters, comprising 12,500 single-phase meters and 27,500 three-phase meters, the filing mentioned, further adding that the project is scheduled to be executed within 11 months from the date of execution of the Purchase Order (PO).
“The project is strategically aligned with a product portfolio handled by one of the company's subsidiaries, Bondada E&E, and its execution will be driven through the alignment of the subsidiary's expertise, resources, and operational strengths,” stated the company.
