Bondada Group has entered into a Framework Agreement with the Adani Group, marking the beginning of a long-term design and construction partnership in Bharat’s renewable energy sector.
The framework agreement was formally signed at a ceremony held at the Adani Corporate Office in Shantigram, Ahmedabad, between Vneet S Jaain, Managing Director, Adani Green Energy and Dr Bondada Raghavendra Rao, Chairman and Managing Director, Bondada Engineering.
As per the agreement, the framework will be in place for the next five years to guide the collaboration between Bondada Engineering and Adani Green Energy in solar energy.
As the first project under this partnership, Bondada Engineering was recently awarded an order for 650 MW of solar energy works from Adani Green Energy. This marks the beginning of a significant pipeline of joint development initiatives that will unfold under this partnership.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bondada Raghavendra Rao, CMD, Bondada Group, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to Bharat’s clean energy transformation.
“This agreement strengthens the partnership between our companies as we work together toward Bharat’s renewable energy goals. We will bring together the best practices of both organisations to make formidable strides toward meeting our commitment towards nation’s clean energy objectives,” he said.
Adani Group is currently spearheading the world’s largest renewable energy plant, by transforming the vast barren expanse of Khavda in Kutch district into a 30 GW renewable energy powerhouse under the Government of India’s RE Mission. Bondada Group has been selected as the group’s design and construction partner for this project, reflecting confidence in Bondada Engineering’s expertise and execution capabilities.
This agreement stands as a major recognition of Bondada Engineering’s strides in the renewable energy sector. The company recently surpassed a key milestone with the commissioning of 1 GW of solar energy capacity. With 1.8 GW currently under execution and an additional 2.5 GW orders in hand, in addition to 2 GW IPP works in Andhra Pradesh, Bondada Engineering is poised to play a significant role in fulfiling the nation’s renewable energy goals.
