Bluebird Solar Powers Veekay Polycoats with 1.7 MW Rooftop Solar Installation in Rajasthan

Bluebird Solar has designed and installed a 1.7 MW rooftop solar project at Veekay Polycoats Ltd., a manufacturer and supplier of PVC flooring, leather, and film products in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.

This system is expected to generate approximately 2.448 GWh of energy annually, utilizing a combination of Bluebird 400 Wp Mono PERC and 550 Wp Mono Half-Cut PV modules.

This project was executed following meticulous planning and extensive research. The 1700 kW capacity solar PV power system was designed to maximize energy production while ensuring safety and efficiency. The system generates DC electric power, which is converted into grid-compliant AC voltage by 11 on-grid inverters, making it suitable for feeding into the utility grid system.

The primary objective of this solar power project was to encourage the use of green energy for running the operations of Veekay Polycoats Ltd. By leveraging solar power, the company aims to significantly reduce its carbon footprint and operational costs, while also setting a benchmark for sustainability in the manufacturing sector.

The rooftop solar installation spans an area of 16,800 m², ensuring optimal use of available space and the combination of 400 W Mono PERC and 550 W Mono Half-Cut modules ensures high efficiency and energy yield. The installation includes safety measures such as handrails, safety lines, walkways, earthing systems, and lightning arresters to protect the infrastructure and personnel.
