Singapore based firm, Blue Planet Environmental Solutions Pvt. Ltd., specialising in sustainable waste management, co-hosted the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Waste to Worth Technologies Delegation during its five-day mission to Singapore that began on May 19.

The high-level visit saw a 26-member Indian delegation, led by Masood Mallick, Chairman of CII’s National Committee on Waste to Worth Technologies and MD and CEO of Re-Sustainability Ltd, and co-hosted by Prashant Singh, Vice-Chairman of the Committee and Co-founder and CEO of Blue Planet.

The group comprised industry leaders, startups, law firms, academia, and other key sustainability stakeholders. On May 20, the delegation toured Blue Planet’s Vach-Tech facility in Singapore, which specializes in hazardous waste and refinery sludge management. The visit aimed to foster cross-border knowledge sharing and explore scalable waste-to-worth technologies.

During the mission, delegates met with Singapore’s top government, industry, and academic figures while touring cutting-edge waste management facilities. A notable highlight was a visit to Singapore’s first public-private partnership (PPP) waste incineration plant, developed by Keppel Seghers, capable of processing 800 tonnes of waste daily and generating 22 MW of power.

Commenting on the mission, Prashant Singh said, “At Blue Planet, we believe that real change happens when ideas are shared and solutions are scaled together. This initiative by CII is a fantastic opportunity to build industry collaborations and accelerate our shared sustainability goals.”

The mission focused on key areas including waste-to-energy, biowaste treatment, e-waste recycling, water management, and integrated sustainability systems, contributing to Net Zero ambitions of both India and Singapore.
